The Famous VJ Day Kiss

September 2 is VJ Day; any promotions you do should be honoring and in remembrance of those who served. There are very few living veterans who were in the Second World War; but it definitely is a period which needs to be taught to our young so history “won’t repeat itself”. A yearly dinner for all Vets or discounts might be an idea.

It's also International Bacon Day and for sure, “Everything tastes better with bacon”. There are the natural tie-ins with butcher shops and grocery meat counters offering specials, but banks could do a twist on this by working with a local butcher shop to give away a piggy bank with every purchase of “x” amount of bacon?

Restaurants could go “hog wild” with specials of the day and Harley shops could sell BLTs for a charity (or give them away) all day when people stop by. Have fun with this one.
